We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in Eden Prairie, Minnesota for a Payroll Specialist in the audio/visual industry. The role involves handling all aspects of payroll processing and administration, maintaining employee records, and assisting with HR-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the biweekly payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment to all employees

• Administer benefits enrollment and manage ongoing benefits administration, ensuring accuracy of monthly invoicing from benefit providers

• Conduct audits of timecards, time off requests, and expense approvals, resolving any discrepancies

• Maintain, organize, and audit employee files and payroll records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date

• Support recruitment efforts, including updating job descriptions and following up with candidates

• Assist in the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for all employees

• Complete pre-employment background checks, reporting, and verification processes

• Help ensure legal compliance with federal and state laws and regulations related to payroll and HR

• Provide calendar and administrative support for HR Director

• Coordinate company meetings and events to foster a cohesive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Familiarity with 'About Time' timekeeping system

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Capabilities in conducting Auditing

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Experience in managing Approved Timesheets

• Proficiency in Benefits Payroll

• Experience in bi-Monthly Payroll processing

• Knowledge of Canadian Payroll legislation and practices

• Familiarity with HRIS Payroll System

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration
