Fairview Health Services Mammography Technologist - Special Imaging - ADIT in Edina, Minnesota

Overview

We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team at Fairview Southdale Medical Buliding in Edina! This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus starting at $5,000!

The Mammography Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging - perform screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, and breast imaging procedures in an efficient, accurate manner using prescribed protocols. Demonstrate good knowledge of radiation safety protocols.

Schedule: 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks)

Responsibilities Job Description

Perform screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, and breast imaging procedures in an efficient, accurate manner using prescribed protocols. Demonstrate good knowledge of radiation safety protocols.

Perform examinations with technical accuracy in a timely manner. Position patients, as required to achieve quality diagnostic images, according to departmental protocol.

Ensure accurate patient identification on all images and complete all computer functions according to departmental policies including daily prep, proper film marking, electronic transfer of images, scheduling, tracking, and charging.

Participate in the orientation and training of new employees and students.

Participate in the departmental quality assurance and quality improvement plan, following all appropriate protocols.

Provide appropriate patient care during imaging procedures.

Maintain rooms and properly operate and care for imaging equipment.

Connect with patients, families, staff, peers, and leadership.

Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner following appropriate radiation safety policies, general safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency preparedness protocols.

Qualifications

Required

ARRT

Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred

One to Three years of experience

ARRT (M)

Additional Requirements (must be acquired or completed within a period of time)

ARRT (M) within twelve months of employment

Registered technologists must have initial mammography training documentation and continuing CEU’s in modality as required by MQSA
