Production Technologist (up to 2 summer student co-op positions)

What You’ll Work On
The Production Technologist will assist in assembling finished products and sub-assemblies, including circuit boards, cables, and other related electronic and mechanical components. As part of this role you will also assist with:
Manufacturing products following standardized processes to ensure high quality and performance.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Identifying and report any deviations in production processes and quality standards.
Actively engaging in continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities and training.
Performing all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
Completion of at least the first year in an Electronic Engineering Technology or Instrumentation Technology program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
Intermediate computer skills
Attention to detail
Comfortable with adapting to new situations
Ability to work under pressure
Eligibility Requirements
Registered full-time or part-time in a publicly funded Canadian post-secondary institution in any program (International students with a work permit are not eligible)
A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has ben conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
The WIL (Work Integrated Learning) experience must be recognized by the student's post secondary institution to be eligible
Eligible work placements can include cooperative education, internships, field placements, and applied research projects
Work Environment
This role is based in an electronic lab environment, with 90% or more of the time spent on assembling Campbell Scientific products.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Repetitive work
Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
