Production Technologist (up to 2 summer student co-op positions)

What You’ll Work On

The Production Technologist will assist in assembling finished products and sub-assemblies, including circuit boards, cables, and other related electronic and mechanical components. As part of this role you will also assist with:

• Manufacturing products following standardized processes to ensure high quality and performance.

• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Identifying and report any deviations in production processes and quality standards.

• Actively engaging in continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities and training.

• Performing all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

• Completion of at least the first year in an Electronic Engineering Technology or Instrumentation Technology program at a recognized post-secondary institution.

• Intermediate computer skills

• Attention to detail

• Comfortable with adapting to new situations

• Ability to work under pressure

Eligibility Requirements

• Registered full-time or part-time in a publicly funded Canadian post-secondary institution in any program (International students with a work permit are not eligible)

• A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has ben conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

• Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

• The WIL (Work Integrated Learning) experience must be recognized by the student's post secondary institution to be eligible

• Eligible work placements can include cooperative education, internships, field placements, and applied research projects

Work Environment

This role is based in an electronic lab environment, with 90% or more of the time spent on assembling Campbell Scientific products.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

• Repetitive work

• Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
