Eaton Corporation Continuous Improvement Manager in Ellisville, Missouri

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager in Ellisville, MO. Relocation assistance is available!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500 - $115,000 a year.

What you’ll do:

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will perform a variety of lean manufacturing activities for the entire facility including Automation, 5S+, Employee Suggestion Programs, and Rapid Improvement Events with the responsibility of improving flow and reducing operating costs.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, facilitate, coach or support Needle Mover projects, Rapid Improvement Events, Operational Assessment, and Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects.

  • Cost-out Continuous Improvement projects and special or turnaround CI projects.

  • Follow-up the development and improvement of process and systems to enhance and sustain process reliability

  • Analyze and improve the Distribution Center and manufacturing, function and business processes using lean & Six Sigma methods and tools, real-time problem-solving techniques and other statistical and quality improvement tools

  • Initiate operating principles that focus on process standardization, visual factory, flow focus, accountability of tier meetings, etc.

  • Coach, mentor, and lead other functions (EHS, Quality, Distribution, etc.) in root cause analysis and problem-solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.) as required.

  • Prepare and conduct related training for sites/functions and develop on-site CI knowledge, talent and competency to support business needs.

  • Support the site Continuous Improvement Framework assessment

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment ,

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Lean tools, cost savings and capital projects

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Certified in Lean manufacturing, Certified Quality Engineer / Manager, Six Sigma Black belt, and/or PMP

• Experience using and implementing Lean (Standard Workflow, Manning, Layout, Operation Balance Chart, VSM and Cross Training).

• Proactive attitude towards problem solving and resolving issues that may affect plant/employee’s health, safety, and operations.

• Experience supporting ISO 9001 or TS16949 Quality Management systems.
