FlexStaff is seeking a Nuclear Radiologic Technologist, Level II to work for one of our external clients, the largest city health system for their location in Queens, NY.
Requirements: Valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiologic Technologist, specializing in Nuclear Medicine issued by the NYSDOH.
This is a permanent, full-time job. Schedule: 8:30a -4:30p, 8 hour shifts, no weekends, no rotations.
In this role you would be performing advanced nuclear medicine work under direction and servicing as a resource to appropriate staff in the performance of nuclear medicine procedures.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Patient Preparation: Explain procedures and prepare patients for nuclear imaging.
Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor for reactions.
Imaging Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
Image Acquisition: Perform imaging procedures and adjust for optimal quality.
Quality Control: Conduct routine checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Data Analysis: Analyze images and prepare preliminary reports for physicians.
Collaboration: Work with healthcare teams to discuss findings and assist in diagnoses.
Radiation Safety: Implement safety measures and educate patients on radiation protocols.
Training: Mentor junior staff and supervise entry-level technicians.
Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies during procedures.
Provides direction to appropriate technical staff and guides staff in the performance of nuclear medicine techniques; serves as a resource in various aspects of advanced nuclear medicine practice.
Recommends area assignment of personnel to coordinate activities within the department with other activities and services and represents the department in interdepartmental operations and meetings.
Conducts research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of nuclear medicine services.

The salary range for this position is $110,000-$110,000/year
