Overview
Buildings & General Services (BGS) at the State of Vermont has an exciting opportunity with room for growth as an Institutional Custodian.These positions are assigned to the new River Valley Therapeutic Residence in Essex. These positions will provide custodial and grounds maintenance for the new residential style facility located in a quiet country setting.
A valid drivers license and multiple background checks are required. This position will work 6am to 2:30pm, Sunday through Thursday.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed in a hospital or rehabilitation environment, including office, classroom, and patient care settings. Direct interaction with patients or residents may be extensive, leading to potential exposure to infectious disease or physical injury. Duties may, at times, extend beyond the normal daytime and work week hours. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Good physical condition and ability to climb ladders and lift heavy weights and equipment (up to 60 lbs.) is necessary. Some overtime may be required.
