Lincoln Uinta Child Devel Asso Educational Assistant in Evanston, Wyoming
Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and direct communication with team members
- Participate in child staffings, team meetings, and in-service training.
- Communicate with children respectfully and reflect their interests and developmental levels.
- Provide sensitive and nonjudgmental information to parents when solicited.
Program Quality and Delivery:
- Demonstrate flexibility in assignments, including planning and implementing the Creative Curriculum.
- Be receptive to additional responsibilities designated by classroom teachers or therapists.
- Act as Bus Monitor when required for safe transportation of children.
- Assist with public awareness, screenings, health fairs, parent involvement projects, or other extra-curricular activities as requested.
Support for Children with Special Needs:
- Work with children with special needs under the supervision of certified staff.
- Understand and address children's Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives routinely in daily classroom activities.
Personal Care Assistance:
- Provide supervision and support for children to maximize participation in preschool activities.
- Assist with personal care, including diaper changes, toileting needs, hand washing, and tooth brushing.
Environment Maintenance:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating preschool environment.
- Secure, clean, organize, and maintain materials, with some janitorial duties as required.
- Perform tasks such as grocery shopping, library visits, snack/meal preparation, kitchen duties, and some bus responsibilities as delegated.
Other Duties:
- Fulfill any other responsibilities assigned by the Direct Supervisor.
