Regional Payroll Manager

Location: Evansville, IN

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Payroll Manager to lead and manage payroll operations across multiple locations. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, compliance with payroll laws, and the development of strong internal controls. You will also oversee union remittances and manage a team of payroll professionals, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all payroll-related processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate compensation, benefits, deductions, and taxes.

  • Reconcile payroll with general ledger and bank statements while generating relevant reports.

  • Manage employee data changes, updates, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws.

  • File payroll-related taxes accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Oversee the accurate and timely filing of 200+ union remittances and related reporting.

  • Maintain compliance with audit requirements and proper record-keeping.

  • Supervise and develop payroll team members, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

  • Implement and review internal controls to enhance payroll process integrity.

    Requirements

What You Bring to the Team

  • 5+ years of payroll management experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred).

  • Experience managing payroll for 1,000+ employees across multiple locations.

  • Strong background in multi-state and union payrolls, with construction industry experience preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and payroll software.

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state payroll regulations and tax requirements.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a keen eye for detail
