Job Summary: Exciting opportunity at West Pharmaceutical Services in Exton, PA! Seeking a Director, Global Tax Provision to lead tax accounting processes and provide strategic tax guidance. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ASC 740 standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams for accurate financial reporting. Ideal candidates will have a strong tax accounting background, global corporate experience, and a successful track record at a Big 4 accounting firm. Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740 guidelines. Establish best in class processes related to West's global tax provision. Provide expert advice on tax accounting implications of business decisions, transactions, and strategies to optimize the company's position. Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the timely and accurate completion of tax audits and financial reporting requirements. Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company's financial statements and tax positions. Lead and mentor a shared team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners to facilitate effective communication and cooperation on tax-related matters. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive process improvements, optimize tax efficiency, and enhance overall financial performance. Assist in the preparation and review of tax-related disclosures for external financial reporting, including footnotes and management discussion and analysis. Other duties as assigned Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA qualification preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax accounting, with a proven track record of managing tax provisions and compliance, preferably in a global corporate setting. Strong expertise in ASC 740 (formerly known as FAS 109) tax accounting standards and related financial reporting requirements. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player - We are a friendly and driven team and are looking for someone with a similar approach. Qualified accountant e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA Big 4 accounting experience Effective functional and technical knowledge Ability to work on multiple complex projects and bring those projects to a successful conclusion Demonstrated success in working across multiple levels of the organization Strong problem-solving skills Familiarity with OneSource (OIT/OTP) and/or Alteryx a plus Travel Requirements: Occasiona travel required Physical & Mental Requirements: Ability to work in an office.
