Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Production Associates to join our team. This position offers two shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Note that 2nd shift talent will train on the 1st shift. You will be working in cells with another individual and will be assigned to one line, with cross-training based on proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by the Cell Lead.

• Effectively monitor production equipment.

• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.

• Communicate with the Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawings or BOM.

• Inspect pieces/parts to ensure they conform to specifications and industry standards.

• Operate air and power tools as needed.

• Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, gage pins, and tape measures.

• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.

• Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.

• Keep tools and supplies organized in the appropriate location daily.

• Keep the work area clean and organized.

• Work closely with the Quality Control Department.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operation and general production.

• Ability to set up machines.

• Production manufacturing experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Continuous standing, moving, and reaching with arms and hands.

• Frequently walks, bends, lifts, and carries items.

• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The plant size is 40. Employees are required to wear PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairmont, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.50/hr.
