  LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; Various Districts in Monroe and Ontario County

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Full-Time

STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible

SALARY RANGE:$48,000 -$78,401 per school year

*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

DUTIES:

• Develop and implement appropriate individualized IEP goals and objectives.

• Prepare CSE packets as required.

• Ensure IEP Compliance.

• Establish and maintain professional working relationships.

• Support districts/teachers with their inquiries.

• Conduct Functional Vision and/or O/M Assessments.

• Perform related duties as agreed upon with the Department Administrators.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree and NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired

• Certified/Qualified in Orientation and Mobility preferred.

• Experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired/Mobility Instructor preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to instruct in Braille inclusive of Nemeth Code preferred.

• Experience and/or Knowledge of Assistive Technology preferred.

• Open Minded and Flexible.

• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.

• Valid NY State Driver’s License.

• Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
