This is a remote position

The Estimator is responsible for technical direction over a group of estimators on one specific project of moderate size and complexity or one specific construction/service specialty.

Principal Accountabilities

(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)

Functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced estimating concepts.

Assists the capture manager in initial sequencing of activities, outlining components such as labor, ODCs, materials and equipment.

Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.

Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.

Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. Prepares and maintains historical cost data.

Responsible for improving processes overall.

Responsible to ensure a productive work environment with Capture Manager and others.

Reviews manufacturing parts lists for accuracy and inputs data.

Prepares final cost report for domestic and international government proposals.

Interfaces with government auditors in support of pre-award and post award proposal price audits.

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced working knowledge of Government Operations, materials, costs, and procedures in areas ranging from Base Operating Services, Vehicle Maintenance, Logistics, etc. to electrical work, plumbing systems, or masonry work

Must have thorough working knowledge of FAR/CAS and Government Acquisition

Strong understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with various Senior Leaders to engineering disciplines.

Interpersonal skills necessary to lead and coordinate others to accomplish goals.

Must have the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent tasks

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to communicate with all levels of management in various departments

Knowledge and experience with FAR 15 cost reimbursable

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

Minimum seven (7) years' estimation experience in any work environment or at least four (4) years of demonstrated estimation experience on a government contract

Must have considerable construction experience, gained through work in the industry, internships, or cooperative education programs.

Strong preference for cleared candidates

Candidates must be comfortable with us to 30% travel

Skills and Requirements

$120,000 - $170,000 depending on tenure null
