Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a/an Staff Engineer- System located in Farmington Hills, MI. Reporting to the Design System Engineering Manager the Systems Engineer will be accountable for designing, defining, and implementing system requirements for complex customer systems/products and/or preparing studies and researching existing systems prior to the transition to manufacturing for new product introduction.

Responsibilities: Provides requirements leadership and ownership for the product developments using standard requirements management tools and methodologies. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Tracks customer/project issues and drives resolution. Serves as one of the lead project development engineers. Participate in product development meetings. Support manufacturing requirements and best practices. Responsible for systems level development and testing requirements. Ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications. Develops product specifications where applicable. Develops and/or approves test plans and test reports. Develops engineering release documentation. Ensures ISO process conformance such as ASPICE and ISO26262 Use your technical knowledge and experience to participate in customer meetings and technical reviews. Review and evaluate test results; identify root cause of problems and provide corrective actions and recommendations. Interact with customer and suppliers to resolve system issues Participate in customer and internal technical design reviews. The experience were looking to add to our team, Typically required a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, electronics or related fields. 6 years or more experience in product development activities as they pertain to autonomous vehicle systems. Experience in all aspects of Design & Development of Automotive Electronic Controllers. Working knowledge of circuit simulation, WCCA, DFMEA and EMC. Working knowledge of FEA, Thermal Analysis, CFD, and DFMEA. High level of analytical ability and trouble-shooting where problems are unusual and complex.
