Actalent Electrical Engineer Fayetteville, New York

Description

  • Seeking an electrical engineer that will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.

  • 70% of the work will be spend in a school district where they are completing renos, additions, demos and gutting k-12 projects across the state.

  • 80% of the day to day will be spent in design, 20% will be focused on construction administration tasks such as client phone calls, RFIs and submittals.

  • This engineer will prepare detailed electrical design drawings and specifications using Revit or AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of electrical load calculations, lighting design, and power distribution planning.

  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

  • Contribute to the growth and direction of the electrical engineering department with the potential to step into a leadership role.

  • Candidates should also be familiar with the construction phases including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings and preparing record drawings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $62.50/hr.
