Title: Registered Nurse

Location:Florence Service Processing Center, 3250 North Pinal Parkway, Florence, AZ 85132Position Type: Part time or Full-time, 20-40 hours per week, Night/Weekend Shift Differential available. Health and Welfare available to W2 employees.

Summary:Vighter is currently seeking multiple candidates for Registered Nurse positions (many specialities are welcome) for positions in Florence, AZ. The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed.

The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants. Includes, but not limited to:

Ambulatory Care; Apheresis; Behavioral Health; Breast Health; Burn Unit; Cardiac Care Unit; Cardiac Cath Lab; Cardiac Rehabilitation; Charge Nurse; Community Health; Critical Care; Deployment Health; Dermatology; Diabetes; Discharge Planning; Disease Management; Emergency Medicine; Endoscopy; Family Practice; Gastroenterology; General Surgery; Genetics; Health Educator; Health Promotion; Hematology; Hemodialysis; Infection Control; Inpatient; Intensive Care; Internal Medicine; Labor and Delivery (L&D); Lactation Consultant; Maternal Child; Medical/Surgical; Neonatal Intensive. Position Description:

  • Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission. The data collected forms the basis of an individualized plan of care. Identifies teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient from the nursing admission assessment and by collaborating with the patient/family and the Interdisciplinary team.

  • Provides patient information and status in a timely manner for the Initial Team Conference and for Re-evaluation Team Conferences on a weekly basis. Responsible and accountable for accurate, succinct and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions and patient’s response in the medical record in accordance with policy.

  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals.

  • Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.

  • Perform physical exam and health histories.

  • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.

  • Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.

  • Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals.

  • Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.

  • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.

  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.

  • Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.

  • Perform nursing services identified in the TO.

  • Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.

  • Prioritizes activities and plans for effective use of time and staff in meeting patient needs.

  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing from an accredited institutionby Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).Experience: One year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting preferred.

Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
