SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the assembly line, ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. This role involves managing a team of assembly workers, coordinating with other departments, and continuously improving production processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Supervise and lead a team of assembly workers, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee development plans.

Production Management:

  • Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet targets.

  • Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.

  • Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures.

  • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicate effectively with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and logistics.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors as needed.

  • Provide regular updates to management on production status and issues.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.

  • Proficient in using production management software and tools.
