Job Description
The Manager, Field Planning & Analytics, US Medical Affairs is responsible for acting as liaison between Medical Operations (US), BTS, Training, OEC, Legal, CA&O, CoE, and Therapeutic Area Infield and Inhouse teams to oversee the design, deployment, training, communications, and management of the Field Force Automation Tools. This position drives field force effectiveness through strategic partnership with the Therapeutic Area business units to identify compliant systems solutions and enhancements, streamline processes, and increase Infield Medical effectiveness in alignment with the Therapeutic Area strategies. This position is the subject matter expert on system compliance related work streams and business processes that relate to field force activities.
This position requires the ability to commute to our Florham Park, NJ office at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Business Unit Management:
SME and Key Point of Contact for National Medical Directors, MSL/MOSL Field Medical Directors, and in-house Scientific Directors and other Therapeutic Area Leads, as needed.
Understand and align with Medical business strategy and drive field tool improvements in support of this strategy
Support the on-boarding of new teams, as well as new hires/transfers into existing teams, and field tool and process integration efforts.
Lead coordinated efforts with the Therapeutic Areas and Infield Medical Leadership for list of values leveraged in the system, segmentation, discussion guides and other infield team effectiveness initiatives to improve infield strategic execution.
System Management:
Design, Testing, and Deployment for on-going field tool releases and enhancements (Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Qlik, Power BI, etc).
Coordinate across Therapeutic Areas, Medical Affairs Field Excellence, BTS, OEC and Legal to ensure business requirements are well defined and approved; develop project plans for systems deployment, communication and training, and ensure deployment is coordinated and managed with Field Excellence and Infield Medical Leadership.
Proactively recommend improvements to streamline current processes and reduce cycle time across DBSM related work streams and systems.
Proactive engagement with Inhouse Therapeutic Area Leaders, Medical Operations Leadership and Infield Medical users to provide system enhancement/business process recommendations. Level 3 support for Field Help Desk Cases and root cause investigation, analysis, and resolution of systems related issues.
Create processes and documentation to ensure strong technical support for CRM application users, including US Field Medical users, Regulatory, Legal, OEC, Medical Affairs, Operations, and others, including management of Field Help Desk knowledge base.
Project Management
Cross functional leadership across Field Planning & Analytics Team (FPAT), Training, Global MedComms, and Commercial and R&D BTS to roll out projects in scope and on time.
Develop project plans that integrate and align with cross departmental processes and other projects and provide resourceful solutions to overcome project hurdles.
Act as a resource to provide innovative solutions to mitigate risks, manage competing customer priorities, facilitate contingency plans, maximize cost-effective resource utilization, and improve field force effectiveness.
Partner with and manage vendor(s) to execute projects based on Medical business needs.
Communication and Training
Develop communication and training plans for system enhancements to ensure effective change management and end-user understanding of the business advantage of each enhancement.
Lead Initial Field Training and Advanced Field Training Classes (IFTC & AFTC) for new MSL/MOSL hires.
Provide FPAT support during field meetings and present systems capabilities to key internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
BA/BS/Business degree or equivalent business experience; master's degree a plus
5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, specific experience with infield activities, roles and behaviors with a strong customer and operations focus preferred.
5+ years of experience in supporting the implementation of new technology related systems and processes and/or project management.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective prioritization of multiple simultaneously occurring tasks/initiatives.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to develop and execute innovative, creative solutions.
Excellent business acumen, understanding of Compliance, Legal, Med/Reg drivers and guidance.
Ability to clearly and confidently articulate complex and difficult concepts.
Proficient with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SmartSheet, Power BI, etc). Proficient with Excel advanced features for data analysis, reports, macros, pivot tables, and lookup tables.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
