Job Title: Spot Welder

Job Description

The Spot Welder welds or tack-welds overlapping edges of positioned components with a portable spot-welding tool to fabricate sheet metal door assemblies. This position involves adhering to quality controls and safety standards, utilizing preventive maintenance to ensure cost-effective products are produced. The role requires welding door hardware based on blueprints, engineering plans, or work orders to meet customer specifications. Key responsibilities include setting up and operating hand-held welding tools, maintaining continuous workflow with documented manufacturing processes, performing first part inspections, in-process quality checks, and assisting with daily preventive maintenance schedules. The candidate will also support continuous improvements in safety, quality, 5S, and manufacturing processes while providing feedback to supervision to help resolve quality issues or operational improvements.
