Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Headquarters, in Fort Huachuca, AZ. Responsibilities Serve as a Senior Information Technology Specialist and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Department of Defense Information Network – Army (DoDIN-A) enterprise network/systems management and services systems. Establish system requirements and specifications for new acquisitions or systems integration and sustainment. Execute and oversee the integration, implementation, sustainment and installation of platforms, systems and networks within the DoDIN-A. Develop technical solutions and support development of project implementation plans and schedules. Review architectural and technical configurations based on current and future technologies and processes/procedures to ensure interoperability with existing networks, installed systems and equipment. Oversee the development and implementation of systems and network capabilities and associated security management procedures. Oversee contractor workforce monitoring system usage and the performance of production systems. Maintain system baseline configurations ensuring correct and efficient operation of systems. Provide network/systems administration, technical engineering planning, analysis, development, implementation, integration, sustainment, and security of assigned IT systems. My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
