About the Position: This position serve as an IT Specialist, Subject Matter Expert for the Special Operations Intelligence System network management branch, directly responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of the Command's Intelligence network. Responsibilities Monitor the security logs to ensure no intrusions to the networks have occurred. Coordinate information assurance efforts and network security with the Computer Security Manager. Advise subordinates on administrative matters and determines training needs. Identify network and automation data processing enhancement requirements supporting a wide variety of special testing and research, development and acquisition initiatives. Basic Requirement for Information Technology Specialist (System Administration): Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the implementation of special operations intelligence systems in support of the information systems master plan; identifying network and automation data processing enhancement requirements; planning the maintenance of automated intelligence systems; managing computer hardware, software, and services on premise systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
