Job Details:

Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. Handle on-call duties as necessary. Works with outside vendors for equipment purchase and repair. Maintain current knowledge of all PC components and software. Maintain current knowledge of hospital used printers. Maintain accurate and updated IS support database information. Assist in providing direction on the creation and maintenance of hospital policies and procedures involving PC or IS operations. Create and maintain a preventative maintenance program for PC's and printers. Understand network configurations required for PC's and printers. Works in association with Network Specialists. Recommend changes/improvements of PC's and printers.Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions.

  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.

  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.

  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.

  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

  • Maintain records of daily, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.

  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.

  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (AA) AS or Technical degree in networking Preferred

  • 1-3 years experience maintaining a Microsoft domain Preferred

  • Prefer computer networking technical school or experience in a related field Required

  • Understanding of NTFS & share level security

  • Understanding of disk imaging software

  • Understanding of Microsoft Outlook & OWA

  • Understanding of Active Directory

  • Understanding of the OSI Model

  • Understanding of a Citrix environment, current Microsoft Operating Systems, TCP/IP and associated ports, PC’s & thin clients, printers, and Microsoft Office

  • Understanding of Server and Desktop Virtualization

  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
