Walmart Manufacturing, Dairy Plant #1 Material Handler (6:30am-7:00pm Saturday - Monday) Fort Wayne, Indiana

Job Description:

The Walmart Dairy Plant in Fort Wayne, IN is one of the largest Milk Processing Plants in the United States. We provide our customers with the freshest, high quality milk at everyday low prices for families. We are seeking to hire an experienced Material Handler to assist in loading and unloading of trailers with the use of forklifts.

Job Duties:

  • Manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment (for example, single and double pallet jack, lift, pacer); identifying, counting, separating, combining and scanning freight (utilizing warehouse management system terminal, scales and scanners); and maintaining records, logs and forms.
  • Keeping work area organized and maintaining freight flow by stacking empty pallets, and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack and/or powered equipment.
  • Monitoring freight to ensure cold-chain and species compliance.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities in the plant warehouse by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
