Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description
As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for the complete manufacturing process of magnet wire products. This involves handling raw materials, feeding wire into the production line, operating and troubleshooting machines, taking enamel samples, reading HMI touchscreens to ensure quality, documenting in-process updates, and using overhead cranes and forklifts to move finished products. The machines are fully automated, making the job less physically demanding. Training will be provided to ensure you understand specifications and can work safely with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Handle raw materials to prepare for production
Feed raw wire into the production line
Read and understand specification sheets to set machines
Operate and troubleshoot basic machine issues
Pull in-process enamel samples
Monitor production line quality through HMI touchscreen
Document all in-process updates by hand
Use overhead crane to move finished spools of wire
Use forklift to store finished products in the warehouse
Essential Skills
Ability to work safely without consistent supervision
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Willingness to be trained on a forklift
Strong tenure at previous employers
Ability to read, write, and understand written work orders in English
Additional Skills And Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or construction
Good soft skills and willingness to be trained
Mechanical aptitude
Forklift certification is a plus

Work Environment
The facility is very clean, though it can get loud and hot in some areas. It is growing, with plans to expand the warehouse and install new production lines. The new 700 building resembles a clean room environment. Shifts are 8AM-8PM or 8PM-8AM on a 2/2/3 schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.40 - $21.65/hr.
