Dental Coding and Billing Specialist

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong understanding of dental billing and coding? We are looking for a skilled Dental Coding and Billing Specialist to ensure accurate and timely claims processing.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely coding of dental procedures using the CDT (Current Dental Terminology) code set.
• Preparation and submission of clean claims to insurance companies.
• Verification of patient insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Follow-up on outstanding claims and appeals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and billing information.
• Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and industry standards.
• Assist with the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth billing processes.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental billing and coding.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans and procedures.
• Proficiency in dental billing software and electronic health records (EHRs).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
