Schedule: Day Shift
There are many responsibilities associated with Warehouse Operator position and is important in the support and growth of our company. You will be asked to help in a number of different areas within our facility, including but not limited to order fulfilment, receiving, and production. Basic understanding of mathematical concepts and warehouse procedures is a plus. Background in a food/dietary supplement industry a plus. Ability to work in a strong team-based environment is essential. Must be able to report on time to work each day. The Warehouse Operator operates out of the Vital Proteins warehouse in Franklin Park, IL and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. Another Warehouse Operator will serve as a backup for this role. Some of the responsibilities are listed below, but are not limited to:
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Staging of material for inbound/outbound shipments
Loading/Unloading of trucks
Material replenishment to Production
Material staging for put-away to rack aisle locations
Use of RF Scanner/WMS system to mirror physical movements in ERP system
Labeling finished product for shipping
Stacking of full boxes and placing on pallets to be shipped
Packaging products and materials with a strong attention to detail
Must be able to follow GMP and SOP procedures
Other duties as assigned
WHO YOU ARE
Must have 1-3 years previous forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Must have high school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred
Ability to maintain quality and safety control standards
Ability to read and write in English
Basic understanding of the metric system
Ability to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
Basic understanding of production and warehousing concepts
Must be organized, able to multi-task, and follow direction set by the manager
Must have good communication skills and comfortable working will all team members
Must be able to lift 15-20 lbs
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $21.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
