Job Description

The Branch Manager will serve as the operations manager of a vibrant and growing office that provides subsurface exploration, geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and special inspection services on a wide variety of public and private sector projects including: buildings, bridges, roadways and pavements, retaining and shoring structures, underground infrastructure, storage tanks, towers, slopes and embankments, dams and other civil works projects. Day to day responsibilities are as follows:

· Operational management of the Fredericksburg office including construction materials testing and special inspection; geotechnical engineering services and environmental services

 · Developing and driving a culture guided by company values and workplace safety

· Lead Business development activities including scope of work development

· Ensure accurate estimating goals for proposal accuracy

· Oversee and engage in proposal preparation

· Manage branch construction quality control programs

· Provide development and mentoring of professional, technical, & administrative personnel

· Communicate effectively with Leadership, Corporate support staff and Branch staff regarding state of the branch and day to day needs

· Manage all strategic and operational business aspects of assigned branch including:

  Annual Business Planning

  Profit and Loss

  Business Development planning

· Employee professional development

Skills and Requirements

Professional Engineer's License (Virginia)

10 years of experience, with a background in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing

Management experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering null
