Neotech Warehouse Manager in Fremont, California

Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all Warehouse related activities including direct managerial departmental responsibility of receiving, stockroom, packaging and shipping. The Warehouse Manager is also responsible for ensuring compliance to all transactional disciplines in accordance to procedures and policies. Also, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for some purchasing and planning functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages warehousing and stockroom by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security and safety procedures and protocols.

  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts in accordance with corporate cycle count procedure including root cause and corrective actions

  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Collecting, reporting all warehouse related metrics including root cause and corrective actions.

  • Purchasing: Establish and monitor all buyer metrics for the site. Metrics shall include inventory, PPV (Purchase Price Variance), execution and On-Time Delivery.

  • Planning: Establish a cadence for the planning team in order to meet/exceed planned revenue for the site on a quarterly basis. Manage Planner Standard processes and reports.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

  • Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts within the site and company to achieve objectives.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines

  • Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements.

  • Must be a team player and highly motivated

  • Strong computer skills, ideally with experience using Windows-based PC programs such as Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Key measures of success:

  • Achieve 99% absolute count and dollar inventory accuracy

  • Greater than 95% Kit-Drop

  • Maintain daily material pick and feeder setup rates

  • Headcount and overtime management

  • Direct Reports may include leads and individual contributors.

  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education (preferred level) Four-year college degree

  • Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) 3 years.

  • Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • An experienced leader in the warehouse and logistics field.

  • Familiarity with personal computers, warehouse management systems and material handling equipment. Preferred: Aegis

  • A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational implementation perspective. Effective skills in planning, staffing, budgeting, organizing, controlling, communicating and problem solving.

  • The ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse individuals toward profitability objectives is essential.
