Visit our website at www.rise.org to learn more about our work. What you will do: Provide safe and reliable transportation for people with disabilities. Float to various routes for team coverage. Provide on-call coverage to the transportation team, assist in day-to-day operations of the transportation department, and ensure that services are provided in timely, efficient, and professional manner Provide safe and reliable transportation for the people we serve to and from home and work sites on morning and afternoon routes in Rise vans and buses. Provide on-call coverage to the transportation team Flexibility and Adaptability The float driver is expected to take on various roles and assignments at different locations, sometimes with little or no prior notice, to support operational needs. Communication - Speak clearly; listen to others; write effectively; establish relationships; act with integrity; establish trust. Communicate directly with drivers and Rise staff who are requesting information. Maintain good communication with programs and external contacts as needed. Ensures that all activities are conducted in a manner that is consistent with Rise's Code of Conduct, CARF standards, and HIPAA policies and procedures. Capable of working independently and adapting to any environment while maintaining a professional demeanor. Conduct oneself as a positive role model for persons served in terms of appearance, socialization, and teamwork. Attend all team meetings as scheduled. Complete all required annual trainings on time using Rise's online learning management system. Additional Duties Beyond Driving for Float Driver: Site and Supply Management: The float driver may be required to check in on various sites, assess needs, and deliver supplies as necessary to ensure ongoing operations are supported. Vehicle Relocation and Maintenance: Depending on route coverage, the float driver may be asked to shuffle vehicles between different locations and take vehicles in for service or routine maintenance, ensuring all vehicles remain in optimal condition for operational use. Administrative Responsibilities: in lieu of route coverage, the float driver may be required to assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, or managing reports. This could include maintaining accurate records of routes, vehicle inspections, or service schedules to ensure smooth business operations. Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviors. Requirements What you will need: Technology skills: Proficient with GPS, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, etc.) access information on internet browsers. Current, valid driver's license A driving record that demonstrates safe, legal driving habits Compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required Ability to pass DOT physical exam and obtain DOT medical certification Understands safety needs and requirements Good written and oral communication skills Integrity, dependability, and punctuality Previous experience providing professional transportation services preferred.
