Job Description:

As a Waffle House Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant locations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to keep our facilities in top condition, ensuring a safe and pleasant dining experience for our customers and a comfortable working environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of restaurant equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures to identify and address issues promptly.

  2. Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, electrical and plumbing problems, HVAC issues, and structural damage to ensure minimal downtime.

  3. Preventative Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend the lifespan of restaurant assets.

  4. Emergency Response: Be available for emergency maintenance calls outside regular working hours to address urgent repair needs promptly.

  5. Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance tasks.

  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.

  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment service history.

  8. Collaboration: Coordinate with restaurant managers and staff to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to restaurant operations.

  9. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a restaurant or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks that require bending and reaching.
  • Availability for on-call and emergency maintenance duties as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
