Customer Service & Mailing Specialist

Richner Communications, a multi-media marketer, commercial printer, mailer, and community newspaper publisher on Long Island is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Customer Service & Mailing Specialist (on-site) to assist with the daily operations of our commercial mailing department. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Provide a high level of customer service via phone and email, escalating complex issues to appropriate team members. Research customer accounts and apply payments. Manage and maintain subscription data base and retention programs. Prepare files for CASS, DSF, NCOA, and Handle PostalOne submission rejections and respond with corrections or workarounds. Communicate and work with production managers in other departments to facilitate workflow. Maintain excellent relationships between production, vendors, sales and customers. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience in customer service and/or direct mail industry Must have strong knowledge of MS Office Proficient in the use of database tools and another data-manipulation software (e.g., MS Excel) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced production environment Strong organizational and time management skills Knowledge of USPS regulations preferred, e.g., periodicals and marketing mail Experience with BCC Mail Manager or similar mail software preferred Knowledge of marketing and subscriptions campaigns a plus
