Great opportunity:

Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solutions (DAS) is currently looking for an Experienced Security Architect for Mobile to join our team in Gdansk, Poland .

Position Overview:

Teams in Gdansk develop mobile applications for use across the aviation world – from flight operations through flight deck to maintenance, repair and overhaul. This is a new position for the site, and your skills will provide local teams with specific visibility and support on the latest in security (and therefore safety).

As you will have a site-focus, you will report directly to the DAS Site Lead but at the same time be part of a wider team of other security architects within DAS. Strategy and senior leadership will be provided by DAS’s Chief Security Architect and, as can be expected, this is a role which is also of great interest to DAS’s Chief Technology Officer.

Please note that you will be cooperating with DAS leaders in the USA, so daily working hours may differ slightly depending on the demand of support needed.

The role therefore offers flexible working options, including hybrid opportunity 1, 2 days on site. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. ​

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure our mobile solutions solutions are developed with a "safety and security first" mindset.

  • Support mobile development teams in securely designing and developing applications

  • Promoting and implementing new security initiatives and increasing security awareness among stakeholders.

  • Performing threat modelling.

  • Working with the Boeing security team to continually improve security standards.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Working experience in Mobile application security

  • Knowledgeable in Apple and Windows application deployment process

  • Familiar with MDM systems

  • Expert in networking security and encryption

  • Familiar with IP protection mechanisms like code obfuscation etc.

  • Working experience with CI/CD for mobile

  • Experience with SWIFT, ObjC and C#

  • Existing rights to work in Poland.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with Kali Linux and the deeper aspects of mobile application security is a bonus.

  • Understanding and knowledge of common industry cyber security frameworks, standards and methodologies, including; OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.

  • Previous or current experience as a developer (Swift/ObjC and C#).

  • Experience with application security in highly regulated (e.g. banking / finance/ aviation) environments.

  • Experience working with multiple engineering teams / squads
