Jacobs BIM Technician (Hybrid Working) in Glasgow, United Kingdom

Your Impact:

Our UK Ltd. team provides engineering, design, construction, planning, support, survey, design-build, project management and/or program management for our nuclear and defence industry clients. With more than fifty years of experience across the complete nuclear and defence asset lifecycle, we support client delivery and the associated infrastructure requirements at every stage of a project.

About the opportunity

Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice and we have a need for a strong BIM Technician/3D Revit Designer on a hybrid working basis and based from our Glasgow office. You will be joining a large wider dedicated team.

  • Fluent in Revit, Auto-Cad and preferably Navis Works.

  • Ability to produce 3D CAD information in a BIM environment.

  • Production of 2D drawings (layouts, arrangements, sections, elevations etc.) from the 3D model.

  • Capability across Electrical disciplines including Electrical Building Services.

  • Familiar with BIM, use of Common Data Environment (CDE) and QA systems.

  • Willing to travel if/when required.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Possess a knowledge of the electrical engineering discipline.

  • Experienced in engineering in a defence or nuclear related industry preferred but not essential, happy to consider other industries

  • Experience in aspects of electrical building services, power, lighting, CCTV, Alarms, Etc

  • Familiar with working in a secure environment

  • Relevant qualification minimum, HND or equivalent.

  • All staff are required to be sole UK Nationals and able and willing to obtain SC level security clearance, and therefore must have been resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
