State of Montana Child Protection Specialist Supervisor (22203) in Glasgow, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Child and Family Services Division. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations relating to protective services (child safety, permanency, and well-being). * Ability to engage children and families to gather sufficient information to make accurate and precise decisions. * Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, even those who do not share the same point of view and may be violent or angry and maintain them over time. * Knowledge of child maltreatment prevention and treatment and family centered social work practice. * Knowledge of methods and procedures for Child Protection Specialists. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or psychology, or directly related degree. o Four years of child protection work experience or other directly related work experience working with children and families in difficult and sometimes volatile situations. o Supervisory work experience preferred. o Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis; however, a bachelor’s degree is required. o Experience working with tribal government entities and/or other organizations of native peoples is highly preferred. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
