Summary:

• In the Plant and under the direction of a Foreperson or other supervisor/manager, assists the craftsman and/or independently performs the basic maintenance, repair or mechanical adjustment work involved in varied types of buildings, building facilities and/or building utilities.

Required Experience:

• One (1) year of experience in work involving the inspection, repair and general maintenance of household, office, and other equipment, fixtures, fittings, appliances, machinery, furnishings, and buildings.

LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. CDL Appointees may be required to possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and applicable endorsements for the class and type of vehicles being operated.

NOTE: The responsibility for ensuring that employees possess the required motor vehicle license, commensurate with the class and type of vehicles they operate, rests with the Appointing Authority.

Work Hours (Please note that the currently listed shifts and availability of same are subject to change to meet the operational needs of the department):

• Potential Schedule 1: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

• Potential Schedule 2: Sunday through Thursday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

• Potential Schedule 3: Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

• In addition to regularly scheduled work shifts, the successful candidate must possess the ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours when required.

Salary:

• Range O11 (Step 1 = $37,957.62)
