Job Summary:

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, is hiring a Supply Technician to support the Satellite Control Network Operations, Remote Site and Mission Partner Support (STORMS) contract at Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT). The Supply Technician is responsible for overseeing all activities as they relate to the receiving, storing, distribution, disposal, shipping and inventory of materials, products, and supplies IAW U.S. Space Force Operating Instructions (OIs) and directives.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Supply Technician provides responsive logistics support to site operational requirements.

  • Performs as liaison between maintenance, SBSS, and the PHQ Network Support Manager.

  • Informs key site leaders of all logistics (supply and depot maintenance) activities, PAC interface, emergency requirements, and other matters.

  • Responds to emergency requirements and ensures required items are not locally available prior to submission of request to SBSS.

  • Assigns priorities for material acquisition consistent with operational requirements.

  • Coordinates on-site depot level maintenance (DLM) logistics requirements, maintains appropriate work center supply point and bench stock levels.

  • Orders, verifies, monitors status, follows MICAP’s and receives assets needed for site support.

  • Manages supply point assets, bench stocks, CA/CRL accounts, and other required materials.

  • Serves as the site focal point for the receipt of supply listings, performance of associated actions, and return within established suspense.

  • Establishes Equipment accounts, PMEL, and other required support with designated host base activities.

  • Performs transportation management office functions and is focal point for material shipment and personnel movement, packs, creates, marks, and labels shipments IAW Government provided directives.

  • Provides on-the-job training to trainees as assigned or directed.

  • Performs other collateral duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • 1 year experience in a logistics related field.

  • Experience in stock management, inventory control, packaging, and handling requirements.

  • Possess a working knowledge of Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) handling requirements as they apply to packaging and handling of ESD sensitive material.

  • Must possess strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Must be able to read, write and clearly speak English.

  • Experience interfacing with military personnel and government customers.

  • Must be able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas.

  • Must be able to perform strenuous physical work to include: walking, lifting up to 50lbs, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting and reaching overhead.

  • Position may require additional government certifications as necessary.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
