Description:

Our client is looking for a "Data Subject Access Request Specialist". NOT a technical position. This person is focused on when a customer requests delete their data - to communicate with necessary platforms, parties, and 3rd party vendors to delete the data.

 Receive and log DSARs, verifying the identity of requestors to prevent unauthorized access to personal data. Contact data subjects, as needed, to verify request scope.

 Coordinate with IT and other relevant departments to retrieve all data pertinent to the requests.

 Review and analyze the collected data to ensure that it pertains only to the requestor and does not infringe on the privacy rights of other individuals.

 Prepare and send comprehensive response packages that accurately convey the data collected and how it is processed within the organization.

 Ensure responses are completed within the legally specified timeframe, maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

 Work in conjunction with Manager to handle any follow-up questions or disputes from data subjects regarding their requests or the organization's data handling practices.

 Maintain detailed records of all DSARs processed for audit purposes and regulatory compliance.

 Train and guide other staff on compliance requirements and the importance of data privacy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

 At least 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in data protection, legal compliance, or related field

 Proven experience in data protection and legal compliance, particularly in handling DSARs

 Familiarity with US privacy laws, such as but not limited to, CCPA, and understanding of the general data protection and privacy practices

 Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with data subjects and internal teams

 Detail-oriented and process-minded with a strong commitment to privacy and data protection

 Direct experience handling DSARs or working within data privacy regulations

 Prior experience working with a privacy platform, such as Clarip, OneTrust, etc.

 Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or related field
