Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our manufacturing team in Goose Creek, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient management and processing of accounts payable transactions, vendor account reconciliation, and ensuring timely settlement of transactions. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those who are detail-oriented and have an aptitude for financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Review and determine the appropriateness of various documents related to vendor set-up and requests for payment.

• Research, code, and obtain approvals on invoices submitted from vendors.

• Accurately key accounts payable related data into systems.

• Direct documents to proper channels for workflow and review.

• Maintain accounts payable files, ensuring proper linking of documents for viewing and retrieval.

• Monitor vendor W9 submission, validate against government databases, and manage the vendor master file.

• Perform tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

• Reconcile vendor accounts and monitor the flow of documents to ensure timely settlement of transactions.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Audit, and US GAAP to perform duties effectively.

• Resolve accounts payable related issues through research, analysis, and reconciliation of accounts. Requirements

• Applicants must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and protocols.

• Candidates should have experience in auditing, with the ability to scrutinize accounts for accuracy and compliance.

• Proficiency in US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is essential for this role.

• Applicants should have excellent numerical skills and attention to detail to handle financial records accurately.

• Candidates should be proficient in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications like MS Excel.

• Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills are necessary to liaise with vendors and internal departments.

• Applicants should have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Candidates should possess problem-solving skills, enabling them to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Applicants must have a high level of integrity and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Prior experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
