POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a proactive and organized Sales and Marketing Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Sales Manager and Marketing Team in a variety of tasks, ranging from administrative duties to client interaction and marketing initiatives. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying). Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott. Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process. Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events). Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Sales and Marketing

  • Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.

  • Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.

  • Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, sending outgoing faxes, delivering incoming faxes, copying, opening or distributing mail)

Sales Support:

  • Assist the Sales Manager with contract creation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

  • Follow up with clients regarding contracts, proposals, and other sales-related inquiries.

  • Manage filing systems and facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as ordering office supplies, tracking gift certificate usage, and maintaining records of departmental training sessions.

  • Prospect new accounts by making calls to potential clients and gathering relevant information.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of site inspections, including coordinating logistics and preparing necessary materials.

  • Prepare and deliver amenities for clients as part of the sales process.

Marketing Support:

  • Assist the Marketing Team in writing and responding to online reviews and updating content on various online platforms.

  • Audit content on partner platforms where the hotel is visible, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Support the Marketing Team in planning and executing events, including coordination with vendors, setting up, and managing on-site logistics.

  • Collaborate on various marketing campaigns and initiatives, providing administrative and logistical support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

License or Certification: None
