Job Summary -Answer the telephone, taking accurate messages in prompt and helpful manner -Maintain patient confidentiality- HIPPA -Maintain Mammo schedule, looking up prior exams in various data bases, and requesting outside studies when necessary -Pull and file x-ray jackets, using a terminal digit filing system (Central File) -Generate out-guides -Burn CD\'s for patient\'s continuing care and enter Release Of Information -Import outside images into PACS and make appropriate changes/merges -Prepare x-rays/CD\'s to be sent to other Prevea sites and outside facilities using proper consent forms -Digitize films.(Central File) -Enter x-ray orders into Radiant (RIS) -Purge x-ray films according to protocol -Have knowledge of reading rooms, including hanging films when necessary, and assist radiologist as needed (Allouez Site) -Maintain reading work lists that are filtered according to stage of reading. -Physical ability to Assist technologists with patients as necessary (bending, squatting and lifting) -Greet patients in courteous and helpful manner -Check in patients and verify necessary information -Dependable as well as flexible with your work schedule -Other duties as assigned Education Qualifications * High school graduate Required Experience Qualifications * Medical office experience helpful. Required * Radiology experience Preferred Skills and Abilities * Speed and accuracy * Confidentiality (HIPPA) * Caring Attitude for patients and co-workers * Work independently or as a Team Player * Medical terminology related to radiology is desired. * Good computer and keyboard skills are necessary. * Good customer service skills Licenses and Certifications * CPR/BLS Certification-Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program.
