How will you make an impact?

In this role, you will be responsible for performing HEPA Certifications, HVAC maintenance and ensuring compliance with regulations.

What will you do?

Including but not limited to the following:

  • Maintain HEPA, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment per the facilities preventive maintenance program.

  • Familiarize yourself with building automation systems.

  • Follow established HEPA and HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Repair and test equipment to find malfunctions; replace faulty parts; re-test for accurate operation.

  • Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, and equipment.

  • Install, operate, service, and repair conventional mechanical industrial and commercial refrigeration/air conditioning equipment.

  • Maintain, repair, clean, adjust, and/or install centralized plant equipment.

  • Coordinate and make required modifications to HVAC systems to satisfactorily support all relocations/moves.

  • Exercise sound professional decision-making and technical skills.

  • Take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.

  • Plan and coordinate work, understand the significance of task prioritization, and be prepared to handle all responsibilities within your capacity.

  • Continue training to maintain knowledge in the latest equipment and technologies in assigned duties.

  • Maintain and enter HEPA certifications and equipment calibration results into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Work in accordance with established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and site cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) as per CFR 21.

  • Follow federal, state, and local codes.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and JSA (Job Safety Analysis).

How will you get here?

Education

  • High School Graduate (or equivalent experience) required.

Experience

  • Prefer candidates with a mechanical or HVAC tech degree or 3+ years maintenance experience in pharmaceuticals industry.

  • Knowledge of HEPA Testing and/or Air balancing and willingness to acquire certification within twenty-four months.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Mechanical, electrical/electronic pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge concerning industrial equipment specific to the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Attention to detail, alertness, and skill in detecting defects.

  • Self-starter, independent, and diligent.

  • Skilled at operating effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to respond quickly to sight and sound and the ability to read gauges, dials, meters, and instructions.
