Job Title: Electrical Designer
Job Description
As an Electrical Designer, you will provide technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team, you will produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for higher education, healthcare, and other commercial/industrial facilities. You will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, and design team.
Responsibilities
Provide technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems.
Produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with Project Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, and design team to complete tasks within budget and on schedule.
Work independently as well as part of a project team.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit design.
Two-year degree in computer-aided drafting, electrical systems technology, or related technical field.
Good technical and communication skills.
Ability to work methodically, precisely, and consistently.
Ability to tolerate changes in work schedule.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates degree in engineering-related background or a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
Experience with arc flash analysis and coordination studies using SKM software.
Experience with drafting and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration or ability to quickly obtain through reciprocity.
2+ years of experience providing technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
Strong interest in Electrical Design.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Work Environment
The company has offices in Asheville or Greenville and individuals can work in either one.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
