Description

We are in search of an experienced Staff Accountant to be an integral part of our team in GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colorado, United States. The Staff Accountant will contribute significantly to our goals through strategic projects, operational activities, and month-end and year-end close processes. This role encompasses maintaining financial records for several Special Purpose Entities and assisting with the accounting and administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain investor payment schedules, upload distribution amounts to the investor management system, and record distributions in the General Ledger

• Review and process construction draws and maintain budget to actual comparison

• Monitor and record cash receipts, prepare account reconciliations, and review Special Purpose Entity financial statements

• Process Accounts Payable and assist with the creation and distribution of vendor 1099s and related IRS filings

• Offer suggestions for process improvement efficiency gains

• Maintain a fundamental knowledge of General Ledger accounting and Accounts Payable, ensuring maintenance of proper supporting documentation

• Familiarize with Financial Statements and apply this knowledge in everyday tasks

• Handle journal entries and month-end close tasks efficiently

This role requires the person to be in office so must live near Greenwood Village to be considered for this role.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software is highly desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
