Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the preparation of complex financial reports while providing support to department leaders through financial analysis. Liaise with auditors, group office and operational personnel. We are looking for a curious, self-starter, highly motivated; detail oriented possessing a drive for continuous learning and self-improvement.

Hybrid working arrangements may be optional.

Your Responsibilities

• Review & analyze Financial Statements.

• Ensure complete, accurate, timely and consistent recording and summarization of financial control and corporate policies.

• Maintain financial control of Banking and Balance Sheet Account reconciliations.

• Assist with Annual Business Plan preparation, Quarterly, Monthly and Weekly Forecasts in an efficient and effective manner.

• Prepare and maintain all Government reporting including, HST, WSIB, EHT and Fuel Charge.

• Maintain One Stream and Lease Accelerator.

• Assist with preparation and review of monthly financial statements for accuracy and variance analysis.

• Prepare Payroll related journal entries and reconciliations.

• Monthly Magna Exteriors reconciliation and review of payment of invoices.

• Concur back up and system facilitator.

• Monitor & audit spare parts inventory sub-ledger, reconcile and audit process.

• Assist in the annual SOX and internal control audits compilation, review process and liaise with auditors.

• Cross trained back up related to Capital and Tooling requirements including Kepion.

• Undertake other projects as assigned by Controller.

• Provide ongoing financial analysis for Operations groups and improve IT systems timeliness and scope.

• Perform other duties as required.

Who we are looking for

Team player, strong analytical thinker, enjoys a fast-paced environment and working independently.

Your preferred qualifications

• CPA designation required.

• Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Extensive background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cost accounting.

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macro’s, VLOOKUP) required.

• Experience working with PowerBI, Infor XA and One Stream.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong investigative and Analytical skills, highly proficient dealing with data required.

• Ability to investigate and problem solve independently.

• Experience conducting deep dive analysis with large volumes of data.

• Annual Audits (SOX, Magna Year End, Government).
