About this role

As a Technical Associate on the Blackrock Alladin Data Governance Team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of data governance tools, metrics and processes that will support strategic data governance initiatives of critical data across the firm. You will be on the cutting edge of our data governance and modernization efforts – helping to build a robust, transparent and effective monitoring platform to ensure standards and controls are being followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a Data Governance Dataset Certification process using Python & Snowflake.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, data stewardship and other stakeholders to gather, implement, and test requirements

  • Develop and maintain a suite of dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to support this Certification process and other data governance activities

  • Interact with the Enterprise Data Catalog and other data sources to integrate and consolidate data.

  • Document process, procedures and user guides for the Certification process

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related fields with 4-7 years of experience

  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation and tool development

  • Knowledge of SQL and database management

  • Experience with Tableau for designing and implementing dashboards and visualizations

  • Entry-Level understanding of finance and financial datasets

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to drive work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of basic data governance concepts (registration, quality, entitlements)

  • Familiarity with AI tools including LLMs and implementing process automation using AI
