Amazon Lab Technician Student, Annapurna Labs in Haifa, Israel

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

We’re searching for a Lab Technion Student who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Linux-based server infrastructure, as well as managing various network services and components.

Student will have at least 4 semesters remaining in their degree. The ideal candidate will posses a strong passion for learning new things and the ability to quickly put that new knowledge and skills into practice. You will have the ability to perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues without guidance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a student for technical degree (CS, EE, etc) with at least 4 semesters remaining and available for 3 work days per week. Ability to support needs in both Haifa and Tel Aviv

  • Familiarity with protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, HTTP, SSH; additional familiarity with PC and servers HW

  • Capable of independently lifting and handling servers when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with multiple teams across the organization, who is organized, detailed-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks

  • Prior experience with Network and Linux systems (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu) for 1-3 years is an advantage.

  • Experience with PXE is a Plus

  • Knowledge in Virtual systems such as Proxmox, VMware is a Plus
