Overview

Mastercard Risk has a significant transformation vision to continually enhance capabilities across the organization. There is complexity and interdependence within streams of work needed to deliver this vision, while balancing other risk priorities and overlaps with transformation in the broader organization. The Risk Transformation Office establishes an approach aligned with capabilities and priorities of the organization and closely tracks plans, activities, and outcomes, adjusting to evolving context.

In this regard, we are looking for a Sr. Analyst, Risk Transformation, based in Peterborough to support and take ownership of aspects regarding the oversight and execution of our Risk Transformation program, along with supporting our ongoing day-to-day engagement with the 1st Line on risk management activities.

Role

In this role, in Mastercard’s second line of defense Risk function, you will work in the Risk Transformation Office, supporting the delivery of our Risk Transformation program. You will engage with multiple global stakeholders to manage deliveries and troubleshoot, develop and produce reports and enhance project management tooling and structure. You will also support our broader risk management efforts, including internal and/or external presentations and deep-dives on risk projects. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, technically strong with a risk-oriented mindset. The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Ensuring project plans meet workstream lead and outcome objectives, are kept up to date and progress (successes and challenges) is clearly and timely communicated.

• Providing support and guidance to Program Workstream leads / teams to manage their delivery plans, ensuring that standards are followed and tools are properly utilized.

• Designing, developing and implementing enhancements to outputs and processes, including project management tooling and automated reporting solutions.

• Preparing presentations and documents for various audiences, including senior management.

• Investigating and analysing data to provide risk insights across the broader team’s deliveries, including the risk transformation program and risk management of the business

• Designing, developing and producing reports, enabling effective and efficient senior management oversight and delivery of the risk transformation plan.

• Partnering with the broader team, supporting cross-functional initiatives to deliver on key risk transformation priorities e.g. risk culture or MA Risk learning & development initiatives.

• Engaging stakeholders across the organization, teams and regions as appropriate, leveraging broader MA Risk and leadership.

All About You

• Experience in risk management or risk management qualification preferred.

• Experience in financial services or payment industry preferred.

• Strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written); proficient on MS Powerpoint and MS Word.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills; proficient on MS Excel

• Experience engaging across multiple stakeholder groups in different locations.

• A collaborative team player; approachable, self-starter and influences a positive work environment.

• Ability to anticipate future challenges, ensuring operational effectiveness.

• Ability to interact independently with stakeholders with professionalism, business judgment, and maturity.
