Reference #: 4844961 THE POSITION The Department of the Auditor General (DAG) is seeking a highly organized and detailed-oriented individual to join the department's Bureau of Information Technology Audits (BITA) as a Director. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As Director of the Bureau of Information Technology Audits (BITA), you will oversee BITA's operations and auditing processes. BITA employees support the DAG audit bureaus with their audit data and analytics, as well as with the assessment of information technology controls in their audits. The staff within BITA specialize in data and analytics as well as the auditing standard requirements for evidence, data reliability, and IT controls. The bureau provides creative solutions to IT audit problems as well as advanced data and analytics support. The Director will motivate and empower bureau-wide teamwork and act as a mentor for audit managers, supervisors, and staff for professional development.

Our ideal candidate with have the ability to: Understand and administer the policies and procedures of the department Learn, research, and apply laws, regulations, auditing standards, and IT audit concepts Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of the system of quality management for the bureau in accordance with auditing standards Review and edit working papers, audit findings, and reports Input, access, and/or retrieve data to and from personal computer and/or other computer systems Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with auditee, audit teams, management, and superiors Analyze and evaluate data, programs, controls, accounts, and records of auditees to facilitate decision making for audit processes Establish and maintain effective, professional, and cooperative working relationships with others (including auditees), and deal with controversial matters in a tactful manner Report to work on a regular and reliable basis and perform job duties consistent with the department's attendance and hours of work policies Develop and perform job training and instruct others accordingly Make non-policy making decisions

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Occasional travel required to Harrisburg Finance Building. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Possession and maintenance of a certificate as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Degree from an accredited college or university with at least 12 credits in information technology or 12 credits in accounting/auditing. 7-10 years experience in supervision/performing Information Technology Audit functions.

Additional Requirements: You must possess a Pennsylvania driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
