SUMMARY: The Hillsboro Factory is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of \25 non-exempt Operators, and Manufacturing Technicians working in an ISO compliant, Class 10 semiconductor fabrication cleanroom, as well as Die Sort and Finish areas. The Night 1 Production Supervisor will work a compressed work week schedule of every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday with core working hours of 6:00PM to 6:30 AM, and report to the Manufacturing Shift Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to monitor work in process and manage the production flow to minimize bottlenecks, increase output, and reduce cycle time. Must work closely with Product, Process, and Equipment Engineering to resolve problems and meet production schedules. Responsible for Operator and Process Technician productivity, operational efficiency, adherence to specifications, yield, training, material movement, and production schedules. Own administrative tasks, development, and coaching for all employees. Responsible for managing training to ensure adequate operator coverage for all toolsets in the factory. The Production Supervisor will own all aspects of performance management, the focal process, and career development for the operations staff on the shift. On a daily basis, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning and implementing improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality and productivity. A key responsibility is to break roadblocks escalated to them by their subordinates. The Production Supervisor is expected to work closely with their peers to resolve problems, highlight issues, and ensure operators and process technicians have the tools and training support necessary to perform successfully. Experience with leading LEAN manufacturing efforts, 6S controls, Continuous Improvement and 5 why root cause analysis. The FAB Supervisors are required to be trained and perform IC duties for the ERT team and must be ERT certified. Off shift meetings and training may be required, and the candidate must be able to reinforce all regulations involving chemical handling, equipment safety, and cleanroom protocol. Must be available to work overtime as needed to accomplish the duties and responsibilities required of the job. QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree in Management/Business, IE, and/or equivalent experience supervising in a manufacturing environment for 5 or more years. Demonstrated skill and success in managing operations in a high-tech environment is preferred. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and an analytical background highly desirable. Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives and policies of the company, and have excellent time management and organization skills. Must have excellent management skills and experience coaching direct employees for success. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Versatility and ability to work on multiple tasks. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows-based software. Experience with concept and practices of Theory of Constraints, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing.
