Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our team in Hilton Head, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger tasks. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the telecom provider industry.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Monitor and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Prepare journal entries and assist with month end close processes

• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline and automate processes

• Ensure all accounting tasks are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures

• Address and resolve any accounting inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Assist with other accounting projects as needed

• Continuously look for ways to improve and streamline accounting processes Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in JD Edwards, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
