This presents a unique opportunity to join a small, high-visibility team within the world's largest company. We believe that all digital advertising can be targeted and accountable, and our access to Walmart's sales data proves it. Walmart Connect succeeds when suppliers invest in digital media to drive growth, and both Walmart and our supplier partners succeed when your digital expertise helps sell more goods online and offline. The growth of our digital advertising business is integral to Walmart's overall growth strategy.

Position Overview:

The Walmart Connect Sales Strategy and Enablement Team is seeking a dynamic leader who is well-versed and passionate about digital advertising and e-commerce. In this role, you will be responsible for driving proactive account management, insights, and support for Walmart Connect's Agency, Media, and Channel partners. Collaboration with stakeholders in our Partnerships team is essential. This role is key to cultivating and enabling cross-functional stakeholder relationships across Sales, Operations, and leadership teams. Primary responsibilities include supporting the Partnerships team in areas such as measurement, performance, best operational practices, API (Application Program Interface) support, and research opportunities.

If you have strong analytical skills, are experienced in managing operational processes, and capable of coordinating with the broader team efficiently - we think you'll thrive here. You should be an expert in process management, capable of building and maintaining a centralized framework for our most critical Sales and Partnerships processes. In addition, this role requires the initiative to complete complex tasks and projects quickly and independently, respond promptly to situations requiring rapid turnaround, switch priorities on short notice, and take effective action. As a senior leader in the team, you will uphold high standards, possess strong technical skills, and have a track record of delivering results.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Measurement & Reporting:

  • Lead the process of collecting third-party and internal data, ensuring data quality to identify appropriate measurements and KPIs (key performance indicators) for defining success metrics for the Partnerships team

  • Leverage strong data extraction skills to develop reporting deliverables, create ad hoc analyses on business results and sales performance, provide insights used to help business planning, and implement ideas for process improvement.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics within reporting tools for teams and partners, including pipeline growth and engagement activities. This role will be responsible for constructing and maintaining core reports and dashboards that support changes being implemented in Salesforce, such as meetings being logged, opportunity pipeline, etc.

  • Present critical data in a format immediately useful for addressing questions about Sales Leadership team inputs and outputs

  • Collaborate with leaders in the Partnerships team to design, develop, and document the resource planning process necessary to scale and expand our Partnerships business

Strategy Planning and Special Projects:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Partnerships Team Leads, offering insights into metric movements and trends and providing data-driven insights.

  • Work independently as the go-to person for day-to-day analytical needs.

  • Lead and conduct ad hoc analyses, ranging from creating new metrics to identifying the root causes of revenue fluctuations.

  • Support decision-making by specifying requirements for developing analytic capabilities, platforms, pipelines, and metrics, and then use them to analyze trends and identify root causes.

  • Address ambiguous strategic questions facing the business and collaborate with leaders across Walmart Connect to build business cases for new business initiatives.

  • Ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives across diverse cross-functional partners.

  • Develop a profound understanding of our overall business and how our different ad products, media channels, and sales investments align with our broader strategy.

Basic Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of work experience in a role requiring analytical skills, such as business analyst, data analyst, or statistical analyst.

  • Ability to work with internal and external customers to gather and document business requirements and user stories, propose solutions, evaluate feasibility, conduct technology assessments, ROI analysis, and assess complexity for various potential process and system solutions.

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn about digital advertising, e-commerce, data analysis, and business strategy.

  • Ability to communicate findings and make recommendations for improvement clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to partner with core internal technical teams to design and implement sales operations solutions that address customer needs.

  • Proficiency in analyzing sales processes and mechanisms for sub-optimal performance, with an emphasis on defect reduction and productivity improvement.

  • Capability to model and simulate improvements to existing business processes, evaluate 'what-if' scenarios, and conduct dry runs to identify and resolve gaps before implementation.

  • Capacity to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines

  • Aptitude for cross-functional collaboration across various teams, with a strong ability to multitask with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, even when faced with ambiguity.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree (MBA, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field).

  • Advanced knowledge of data mining and experience with SQL, data warehousing, statistical analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau.

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
